Nico Wood Kos is a performer.

She creates work in lots of formats—one-woman shows, plays, films, blogs, installation art, academic scholarship, and personal essays.

This work is almost always autobiographical, occasionally disguised by surreal fantasy, though more often spilled out in raw detail.

She navigates the delicate passage between aesthetic and factual truths.

Nico is currently pouring her time and energy into her family, her latest one-woman show (The Interior), her blog and her freelance writing (see elephant journal and xoJane).

She enjoys yoga, hiking, and reading memoirs. She splits her time between Chicago and Yellowstone National Park.
